This is a rotary drum screen using punched whole screen elements, with an internal spiral. The filtration takes place from 'inside to outside' retaining oversized material inside the drum while conveying it simultaneously to the discharge end. The clean filtrate is led to the MBR chamber. The screen drum is continuously back washed during the operation.
